Has become a series of post relating how busy I am. That is mostly because I am very busy...there is a lot going on. A house sale, moving to a new state, starting a new job, finishing a dissertation...the list goes on. But I am going to talk about politics today.
I am really pissed at Hillary Clinton. Just fucking give up already lady. You are not going to win unless you rely on some back room swindling...some sketchy tactics, the kind of things that Americans grew to hate about the Clintons back in the 1990s. So, please, just stop. You are not a better candidate. You are getting votes in the primaries simply because you are married to the guy that was president during a time of high economic growth and relative international security. Considering how the last 8 years have gone people are nostalgic for the 90's. If you were to successfully steal this nomination you will lose the general election because the Republicans will start parading around Monica Lewinski and Linda Trip. People will begin to remember the lies and cheating and the sinister politics of the late 90's...the reason Bush won the presidency in the first place. So just Stop this nonsense. Thanks.

Two things.
You should supplement your blogging with twitter. It would fit well into your hectic life. I'll send you an invite. A lot of people tell me twitter is a waste of time, but since you and the HL are the most experienced bloggers I know I think you will be able to see the value.
Secondly, please lay off Hillary, who is doing an awesome job of keeping the NeoCons at bay. The longer Karl Rove thinks we're splitting our party apart the better. None of the nastiness of the last 6 months is particularly damaging, and certainly not as horrific as what Obama will eventually face from the Swift Boaters. Relax, let Hillary do her thing, and understand that this is all part of Howard Dean's master plan.

I just really don't want Hillary to be President. I don't think what she is doing is bad for America or bad for the Democratic Party, I think it is bad for me. Of all the Democrats that ran this year Obama is prolly my 4th choice, so its not like I am a die hard Obamaniac, I am just anti-dynasty. I don't think that Bush->Clinton->Bush->Clinton is good for anybody. It is far too reminiscent of the 1600's in England when the Tudors and the Stewarts traded the throne back and forth. We need new people with fresh ideas and perspectives, not nostalgia and old ways of thinking.
