Personally, I find your terse prose scintillating and an asset to my daily ingestion of words.
I live for it.
Also, when are you going to start interviewing in New England? We have like a zillion colleges and well over 3 or 4 species of birds (seagulls, crows, American Woodcocks, and possibly more).
Good luck C-man, on surviving your schedule. And if all else fails, it sounds like robbo has got you covered in New England. Totally.
A taxonomic breakdown for you:
seagulls = ocean crows
crows = basically the black sheep of the scrub jay family - but you'd be a corvid biologist, kind of like the black sheep of my family.
American woodcocks = basically a misconfigured duck. Spread on toast and enjoy.
HTL and Robbo: Thanks for your kind words regarding my blahog.
Robbo: Are you telling my that Kentucky isn't in New England?...I've been misled.
1Pruett: Thanks. I also appreciate your taxonomic breakdown. It is much simpler than the one I am currently teaching in Ornithology class...I think I'll switch...don't tell JF.
